Partial Hospitalization Program

Needing drugs to dull pain, boost energy, or both often results in chemical dependence, whether the medications were prescribed to you by a doctor or not. Addictive drugs impair cognition and cause impulsive behavior, which makes it difficult for people to regulate the doses on their own. Many prescription drugs taken in exact adherence to a doctor’s recommendations can result in life-threatening addictions. Psychological healing requires physical safety, and our partial hospitalization promotes both. To get more information about our partial hospitalization program, contact Rise Above by calling (877) 641-0717.

What Is Partial Hospitalization?

Rise Above’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) is the highest-level outpatient treatment program we offer. Clients in this program live in our homestyle addiction treatment center and receive medical care for 60 days or more. Through a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy, education, 12-step principles, medication management, and process group therapy, clients strengthen their resolve and recovery while living in their own homes or a nearby sober living center. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is more intense than a California outpatient drug rehab, but it has fewer requirements and costs than most Murrieta rehab options.

Partial Hospitalization & Addiction

All psychoactive substances carry some risks of chemical dependency. Addiction occurs when a person’s body and mind begin to require the substance in order to continue functioning at the body’s new “normal.” When the substance use stops, the body and mind feel deprived of an expected and essential component of its accustomed state. This causes the body to produce withdrawal symptoms. Even after people finish detox, symptoms persist. It is important to have medical staff available to monitor vitals during this time. A partial hospitalization program, combined with the following continuum of care, offers people the chance to become stable, heal from trauma, develop a relationship with a higher power, build new relationships, and maintain a lasting recovery:

Daytime Outpatient PHP Details

Our partial hospitalization program at Rise Above takes place from 9 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday at our Murrieta drug rehab campus. We also include weekly individual therapy sessions with a certified chemical dependency counselor and a licensed mental health therapist. Clients experience sober social events and adventures, including sports competitions, trips to the beach, and hiking expeditions. We are about an hour from the beach, and we put our location to good use.

Adaptable, People-Centered Outpatient Addiction Treatment

People don’t choose to become addicted. It’s easy to be lulled into a dangerous sense of security when your peer group appears to use addictive drugs without consequences, or you become isolated from the people who are most likely to notice problematic changes in your behavior. Drug addicts and alcoholics in active addiction believe that certain substances are essential for their survival or happiness despite the devastating consequences of addiction. When the brain transmits the message that a substance is needed for the body’s survival, the body will naturally seek out that substance. When you struggle with chemical dependence, a partial hospitalization program at our Murrieta rehab can provide the support, tools, community, and guidance you need to recover fully and take back control of your life and manage your addiction.

Learning how to cope with anxiety, depression, isolation, and disappointment starts with inpatient addiction treatment. However, people are at their highest risk of relapse when they finish a residential program. If you are curious about detox, rehab, or sober living in Southern California, we invite you to contact our life-changing drug treatment center by calling (877) 641-0717 or by securely reaching out to our facility online.
