RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE

When you join us at Rise Above, our qualified addiction treatment team will develop an individualized treatment & psychotherapy plan to meet your specific needs. Our approach to treatment is different than what you’ll find in a typical California rehab setting.

Do I Need Outpatient Rehab?

What’s the first step to becoming sober? Realizing that you are addicted to drugs or alcohol and need help. The next step is finding the right type of treatment that will support your life. If you need to be in a restrictive environment that will only allow you to focus on getting clean, then a residential treatment program is for you. However, if you have work and family obligations, then why not try an outpatient rehab program? Our partial hospitalization program and intensive outpatient programs support you through your recovery. Contact Rise Above Treatment 855.948.6325 to find the best program to meet your lifestyle.

How Is Partial Hospitalization Different From An Intensive Outpatient Program?

At Rise Above Treatment, we offer two options for outpatient rehabilitation:

  • Partial hospitalization which is for people who have a stable living environment but need medical assistance. In this type of outpatient rehab program, participants will meet at the treatment center several days a week for a few hours.
  • Intensive outpatient programs are focused on helping participants avoid relapse. Unlike a residential treatment program that requires a set time commitment, intensive outpatient programs. Yet intensive outpatient programs are much more flexible, working around a participant’s work and home schedule.

While outpatient rehabilitation programs are less restrictive, participants need to possess a mindset that will allow them to be successful. After all, there is a greater chance of relapse occurring so there needs to be a focus on gaining and maintaining sobriety.

Is Outpatient Rehab A Good Fit For Me?

Outpatient rehab is a viable option for people who possess a supportive and stable living environment. Outpatient rehab is also recommended for anyone with a supportive community of family and friends who will help them. Here are some questions you need to ask yourself when deciding if you need to choose inpatient or outpatient rehab:

Where Are you in Your Addiction?

Outpatient rehab may be a good fit if you are in the early stages of addiction, but you know you have a problem. However, if your addiction has taken over your life and it has been prolonged, an inpatient program that includes medical detox will be a better fit.

Have You Already Completed Inpatient Treatment and Need Transitional Support?

If your answer is yes, then an outpatient program will help you transition to life outside of a residential treatment program. After all, sobriety in the world is different from sobriety in a treatment program.

Do You Need Additional Support Beyond your Friends and Family?

An outpatient rehab program will provide you with guidance to remain on the road to recovery.

Can You Afford a Residential Treatment Program?

If the answer is no, then an outpatient rehabilitation program will be the best option. Here’s why: you want to be taking the steps necessary to move past your addiction. An outpatient program will provide you with peers who are also in recovery and mental health professionals who will support you on your journey.

Do You Have Family Responsibilities and Work Obligations?

If you have children and no one to keep them or have a rigorous work schedule that will not allow you to participate in residential treatment, an outpatient program will support you in your fight against addiction.
